We baptised Joshua on the bank holiday Sunday and he also turned 6 months on the Monday so it’s been all go but in a really good way.
From the start of May it was all prep for his big day and I really enjoyed it, I’d ordered bits online, prepared jars with ribbons for the venue and the flower seller was getting in my selected blooms. A bit mad you might say but as a party planner I like to plan a party so plan a party I did.
You can see the fruits of my labour below and links to some of my suppliers. We kept it simple but I think it worked really well. Scrolls and bat trees borrowed at the church enhances by rubenesque ribbon. Back at our afters venue we had a cake table for after our grub all produced by friends, beautiful blooms and bespoke menus as well as kiddy activity bags that went down a treat.
It was such a special day and really cemented the journey we have taken as a little family over the last 6 months. Josh lapped up the attention and granny took him home for a couple of hours and we went out for a small adult celebration with godparents and friends.
