Giddy Studios Toddler Activities & Cheerios Childline Breakfast Week

Standard

There are few super events coming up for kids that I thought I would share with you.

First up kicking off this weekend is Cheerios Childline Breakfast (October 5th – 11th) begins with special activities in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre (September 25th/26th/27th) where the Cheerios Wishing Well and children’s entertainment will be located outside ODEON cinema, with every child who makes a wish receiving a special wish certificate. Cheerios Childline Breakfast goody bags will be sold by ISPCC volunteers for €2 to raise funds. On Sunday 27th at 11am ODEON cinema will show a special children’s film with all ticket proceeds being donated to  Childline. With plenty of free kids activities from facepainting to magic shows it promises to be a fun filled few days and all for a great cause! This follows on to supporting a great cause which you can read all about here: Get your office, school, crèche or friends involved for this great cause!

Then in early October Giddy Studios annual Baby and Toddler Event is taking place. See details below. I went last year and really enjoyed it, it was our first taste of Giddy Studios and became pretty hooked after that. This was the first handprint and there were many more!

I like the sound of nearly all the events but unfortunately we will only make Monday’s session. See information for booking and I would  say book fast as places are limited!

National Portrait Day

I got sent an email from a good friend highlighting me to this event and I jumped on the bandwagon.. It took place in late March.

What a great cause, it is a charitable initiative supported by generous photographers that take portrait photos of kids for a donation to the ispcc of €25 euro, read more about it here: http://npd.irishphotographers.com/about.php

We chose DK Photography and as mentioned above, I was quick off the mark so got upgraded to a larger pic.

Off we headed to their fab little studio in Clontarf. A really lovely setting in a courtyard with a florist and a hairdresser just at the back of the village. Dee made us feel very comfortable and was so professional in getting the shoot set up quickly and taking the shots at speed before baby boy got bored. They were there ready with toys, baby wipes and patience. See their details below.

It paid off, we went to view the images a couple of weeks later and chose a great one of our little guy. We got another for his granny too. A quick pit stop for a yummy lunch in the village, out to ikea to get a nice frame and he is now taking pride of place in our living room!

A really lovely thing to do, highly recommended so get ready to hop on that bandwagon next year!
