Mothercare A/W 2016

I was delighted to be invited to preview Mothercare’s Autumn-Winter collection.

This time I brought Josh, the event was set up perfectly for kids but one refusal to get out of the car, a wee on the floor and a full scale toddler tantrum I was beginning to wonder if it was such a good idea..

He warmed up and played away then, eying up some of the great ELC toys for his Santa list while I hand a wander.

I was drawn at this stage of my pregnancy to their My First Collection, especially designed for newborns with all the considerations in making the product. No labels, wide necks and soft cotton. There is a range of the usual muted tones but I loved some of the other items too.

They had a few of thier Christmas items on display and this year I am going to get ahead of the game and get some jammies for what will be the two boys as last year I left it too late and there wasn’t a festive pj to be had!

They have also the well known collaboration with Jools Oliver in Little Bird but have also collaborated with Mylenne Klass. I find both ranges a little more driven towards girls but I did think these boots were super cute.

All the items are available in Mothercare stores nationwide or online.

Mothercare SS16 Launch

I was delighted to be invited to the Mothercare Spring/Summer launch last week. Mothercare Ireland is a family run Irish Franchise so as always it is nice to support local!

I popped in briefly on my own and took a look at some of the lovely collections that will hit stores soon. Both the Little Birds range by Jools Oliver and new Smile range by Julien McDonald caught my eye.

The full 31-piece Smile collection will be available in Mothercare Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre and online at from 20h April.

The maternity jeans for mamas to be looked good, starting at 29.99.

One product that made the want/need list was this great buggy- The XSS Pockit Stroller

The Guinness world record breaking XSS Pockit Stroller will fold to an incredibly compact size (H34cm x W14cm x D32cm). Travelling is made simple when your stroller can fit anywhere: meaning you can have the stroller to hand at the end of a long journey for your tired little explorer. With plenty of additional features including; a sun canopy, adjustable handle, and lockable front swivel wheels, discovering new places with your baby has never been so easy. Superbly functional, the co-ordinating carry bag attaches to the back of your stroller whilst in use. Suitable from 6 months. Retailing at €179.99.

Definitely a few purchases to add to the list for the summer!
