Pregnancy Update: 18 Weeks

Standard

Well those 4 weeks flew by.. I am now 18 weeks and reporting from sunny Cabanas where it would seem my bump likes the sun and has well and truly popped! You will have to excuse my orange tone after some deceptive clouds today but works well as bubs is the size of a sweet potato this week so keeping with the theme 😉

How far along? 18 weeks

Total weight gain: No weighing scales in Portugal, thank god but I think from my last check its now about 10lb

Maternity clothes? I am in the non wire bra monstrosities and I wore maternity leggings from H&M on the plane over to Portugal which were super comfy so slowly but surely we are heading in that direction.

Stretch marks? No, and I am applying oil daily. I actually picked up Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Oil in Duty Free and it’s really lovely.

Sleep: Better than the early days and getting lots of early nights with plenty of rest happening this week in the sunshine!

Best moment this week: There were too many to mention on this holiday but just feeling so grateful and happy for my little family with one in my tummy too. Spending time as just the 3 of us which will be our last holiday as a trio has been pretty special.

Miss anything? The green wine in Portugal!

Food cravings: Most of my food aversions have now gone so eating all around me. I am going to enjoy this holiday but when I get home be somewhat mindful of what is going in and the quantities so I don’t go too mad and have too much extra to lose at the other end.

Anything making you queasy or sick? I still get queasy spells but not as bad due to me being on tablets still..

Gender: Only 3 weeks until we find out.

Labour signs: No!

Symptoms: I have started to feel some small ‘Fluttering’/movement.My placenta is to the front this time so may take a few more weeks to feel established kicks.

Belly button in or out? En route to an outie

Wedding rings on or off: On but a couple came off on this holiday with the heat.

Happy or moody most of the time: See above.

Looking forward to: Finding out gender in a few weeks.
