Pregnancy Update: 30 Weeks

Standard

So the countdown begins.. I found with Josh up to 30 weeks I counted up and then I started to count down..

How far along? 30 weeks

Total weight gain: Just over 2 stone now

Maternity clothes? I never really buy maternity clothes with the exception of jeans and with recent heat is just been cotton dresses etc that stretch!

Stretch marks? Just got this lovely oil that is made in Ireland too.  http://holos.ie/

Sleep: See pic below! A lot of tossing a turning and toilet visits.

Best moment this week: Appointment with midwives. Head down as I was concerned he had flipped.

Miss anything? Again energy.. Hoping this will help..

Food cravings: I have acquired a recent ‘craving’ for the smell or desire to eat firefighters-very random but apparently common. *My husband insisted on taking this pic of me having a sniff in lidl-classy bird πŸ˜πŸ‘ƒπŸΌ

Anything making you queasy or sick? Certain smells still get to me and it can still rare its unwanted head.

Gender: Boy, so glad we found out now as Josh can fully understand and prepare for what’s coming!

Labour signs: No!

Symptoms: Aching upper and lower back.

Belly button in or out? Out and more so when baby boy moves around.

Wedding rings on or off: Still on.

Happy or moody most of the time: Definitely moanier

Looking forward to: The countdown begins so exciting things like getting the room ready etc will start happening soon.

Sleep where art thou…πŸ’€

Standard

Josh has never been a super sleeper. He has a good routine and goes down great but I don’t think in 18 months we’ve had a full week go by with a full night and he has never been a 7-7 boy, 6 is kind of his limit.

This is fine most of the time, the body adjusts but sometimes it hits you like a train, a train you would rather get off at the next stop kind of train!

I have spoken about tiredness in previous posts and whilst I know it’s part and parcel of parenthood and to be honest the only real negative I can find in the whole experience. However when trying to work and have some kind of balance in day to day life an extra hour or two would be a welcome blessing…  Weekends are where we catch up a little. One of us gets up one day at the crack of dawn and does the morning drill then a couple of hours later the other goes back for an hour or so before heading out for the day. And on that note, I head back to my bed for some much needed shut eye!
