I have made a few things lately that Josh absolutely loves (when he’s in the mood 🙊) so I thought I would share a few of the recipes:
{Cheese Biscuits}
A fav for quite a while is Mummycooks cheese biscuits-a great little snack that freezes well and can be refreshed in an oven or microwave. So easy too-
Ingredients: Half a bag of grated cheese, 1 egg, 30g butter, 30ml milk & 130g self raising flour
Method: Rub butter and flour together, stir in cheese. Then mix the egg as milk together and add. Stir until a dough form. Dust with flour, cut into fun shapes and bake at 180 for 12-15 mins.
{Pitta Pizza}
Next up is a recent addition-the Pitta Pizza. Simple and fun. All it is it’s a round pitta, tesco kids tomato sauce, cheese and add your toppings. Bake in a moderate oven for about 8-10 mins. Below is a ‘Peppa Pig’ version 😉🐷
{Teddy Toast}
A quick snack on fussy days is teddy bear bread-when I will battle no more this usually goes down well. It’s most of his favourite things. It’s starts with toast, add some peanut butter and add banana and blueberries to make the face below.
{Porridge Bread}
Finally another addition is one I make for the house to keep us all away from the usual bread bulk. Porridge bread. I think this one could be the easiest. 1 tub of natural yoghurt, 2 tubs of porridge oats & 1 heaped teaspoon of breadsoda. Mix together and bake in a loaf tin at 180 for about 55 mins. You can add dried fruit to sweeten or seeds to give texture if you wish.
It can be hit and miss from day to day but I try not get too bogged down with it all and if we have to resort to waffles and hoops so be it.. Coming up with new ideas that I think he will like can be tricky so I open some of these help you!
